Wolf Malayalam Movie

Following the new films ‘Innu Muthal‘ and ‘Krishnankutty Pani Thudangi‘, New Malayalam film Wolf has been released directly on the OTT platform ZEE5 from the ZEE TV Network. The new film is Wolf, which has been now streaming since April 18th. Directed by Shaji Aziz, the film stars Arjun Ashokan, Samyuktha Menon, Irshad Ali, Shine Tom Chacko and Jafar Idukki in the lead roles.

Wolf is based on a short story by GR Indugopan’s Wolf, a writer who has won many readers in Malayalam through his crime writings. GR Indugopan also wrote the script and dialogues for the film. Produced by Santosh Damodaran. In the beginning of the film, a young man named Sanjay (Arjun) goes to meet his fiance Asha (Samyukta) at her house at night. When Sanjay left, Asha was alone at home. Asha, who did not like Sanjay’s presence, tries to send him back immediately but is unable to do so as the lockdown has been announced.

Sanjay could not go because the police on duty outside the house stopped him. The film shows what happens next. Things get more complicated when Asha, Sanjay and a character named Joy (Irshad) come to the scene.

The short story Wolf is a work that has satisfied a lot of readers. But when it comes to cinema, some things change naturally, Wolf goes through three important characters inside a house.
. When a short story is transformed into a two-hour movie, the expected lagging looms in the beginning. Conversations were very strong in some areas but not so credible in others.

When presenting a topic like this it was necessary to keep the audience captivated with what was next with mental tension. But the director could not. Within the first 15 minutes of the film, viewers can catch a glimpse of what it is focusing on. Attempts to further confirm the same thing continue to be seen, and that is where the audience gets bored. After a twist, the film slows down again, as if the speed of the film had improved.
It is not clear what Shine Tom Chacko needed in the film. The actor did not have to choose this role to show his face once or twice. It was a character that could have been assigned or omitted by any junior artist. The script gave more opportunity to Irshad and he has used the chance properly.

Irshad’s character was not seen in the trailer, probably because the director put it in suspense. But when I saw the picture, I could not see anything surprising in it. Joey was a very different character from any of the roles the actor has ever seen.

The scenes in which the hunter-gatherer character shares his hunting experiences bring to the audience the image of a wolf. When the actor narrates the dialogues, the scene fills the audience’s imagination, and that’s the real hunt. Arjun and Samyuktha have also performed their roles beautifully from within their space.
